This 1960s Young Manufacturing dining table pairs a gently curved boat shaped top with the maker's clean, understated lines. The walnut surface bows outward along its long edges, softening the profile from every seat, while slender tapered legs angle out at the corners to give the table a light, poised stance. The grain runs long and warm down the top, doing the quiet work that good walnut always does.
The extension range is where this table earns its keep. Closed at 66 inches it seats six comfortably, and with both 18 inch leaves installed it stretches to a full 102 inches, seating ten for holidays and big dinners. The apron and leg placement leave generous knee room at every position, and the table pairs naturally with the maker's tapered ladder back chairs from the same era.
