The chair is a study in restrained, confident design: a curved, enveloping back and rolled arms upholstered in rich oxblood leather, set on an ebonized frame whose hand-carved scroll arm terminals and reeded, tapered legs with spade feet give it a crisp Regency line. Antiqued brass nailhead trim traces every edge — the arms, the seat rail, the outside back — a level of finish you simply don't find on production furniture.

The leather has developed a beautiful lived-in patina, with depth and tonal variation from oxblood to a burnished cherry-red where the light catches it. Substantial, comfortable, and quietly grand — the kind of chair that anchors a library, study, office, or a fireside pair.
