The base is built entirely from natural steer horns, splayed outward as legs and crossed through the center by arching horn stretchers, each one showing its own natural coloring from creamy bone and honey through smoky grey to near-black at the tips. No two horns are alike.

The seat is upholstered in a striking black-and-white speckled cowhide — a dense, peppery pattern with wonderful movement — and finished all around with antiqued brass nailhead trim. At 48" long and a low 20" high, it works beautifully at the foot of a bed, in an entry, under a window, along a hall, or as extra seating in a lodge, ranch house, or a modern room that wants one wild thing in it.
