The composition captures real movement: manes and tails streaming, hounds mid-stride, the riders leaning forward into the gallop.

Mounted on a substantial pale green onyx base with a rocky, naturalistic terrain surface beneath the figures. The piece reads beautifully from every angle and has real presence as a mantel or desk sculpture—it's a conversation piece.

Circa 1900, in the tradition of Continental sporting bronzes and Vienna-style animalier work. Very good vintage condition consistent with age; minor surface wear commensurate with a century-plus piece.
