Offered here is one piece from a long-preserved American quarter-sawn tiger oak bedroom suite dating to approximately 1905–1915. Carefully maintained within the same family for roughly fifty years, the original suite includes a bed, two mirrored dressers, a five-drawer tall chest, and a wardrobe that has been converted to practical interior shelving while preserving its antique exterior. Each piece is available individually, subject to prior sale.
This beautifully crafted American quarter-sawn tiger oak dresser dates to approximately 1905–1915 and showcases the flowing lines and sculptural details characteristic of the Arts & Crafts period. Quarter-sawn tiger oak displays striking ray fleck throughout, while the gracefully shaped original beveled mirror adds both warmth and architectural presence.
The dresser features its original drawer pulls, hand-cut dovetail drawer construction, and a solid oak case finished in a warm chestnut tone. The finish was professionally refinished many decades ago and has developed an attractive patina while preserving the character of the quarter-sawn oak.
The original beveled mirror retains its antique character with light age-related silvering. For long-term stability, discreet rear support brackets and a small safety stop have been added to secure the mirror, and one mirror support screw has been replaced. These modifications are not visible during normal display and help ensure safe everyday use.
This dresser functions well and presents beautifully, making it equally suitable as a bedroom dresser, entry chest, or statement piece in a traditional, Arts & Crafts, or collected interior.
