Candpell’s Christmas Present Souper Can, 1976. This is a unique piece of advertising from Oklahoma featuring Santa in a knock-off version of a Campbell's Soup Can. I believe it originally held a surprise gift. This is the largest version; upon research, we found a smaller pencil cup size as well. It makes a great addition to any holiday or seasonal collection, especially for Christmas.
The can is branded by Can Can Canning Company, a 1970s novelty and gift business based in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Founded by local entrepreneur and attorney Joseph McKimmey, the company was known for producing customized and decorative gift tins, including popular vintage Santa Claus-themed containers during the holiday seasons of the mid-to-late 1970s and early 1980s. These festive items have since become sought-after pieces of holiday memorabilia.
The bottom of the can has been opened, but the top remains intact. It retains its original Christmas tag. In the photos, you can see its size compared to a ballpoint pen for reference. This would make a charming Christmas display or a collectible for enthusiasts of vintage tins and advertising.
