featured is an original 19th-century lithograph of "The Monastery" (El Deir) in Petra, Jordan, by David Roberts R.A. (17961864). This fine example of Orientalist art is in excellent vintage condition with no foxing and is presented in a high-quality, period-appropriate frame.
A unique feature of this piece is its documented provenance. The print was previously held in the private collection of a well-regarded, educated resident of Walnut Creek, CA, whose name is inscribed on the back of the frame. This history, combined with the excellent condition, makes it an exceptional acquisition for a serious collector.
