The elongated plank seat rests on two broad, sculptural trestle supports with shaped, moulded feet, triangular under-seat braces and a long underrail, giving it the honest, hand-shaped presence of primitive and farmhouse furniture traditions. The pale, worn seat contrasts with darker supports, and the seat shows a subtle natural bow along its length, old cracks and several inset wooden repairs, all left visible as part of its authentic wabi-sabi character. Measures 201 cm long, 36 cm deep at the base and 22 cm deep at the seat, with a seat height of 48 cm. Suits a long farmhouse table, hall, kitchen or gallery, and doubles as a low display surface.
