Design
The chair is defined by its sculptural bentwood frame, formed from two continuous square-shaped side supports connected by a solid wooden stretcher. The flowing lines of the frame contrast beautifully with the suspended upholstered seat and backrest, creating a light and almost floating appearance. Characteristic triangular side panels secure the upholstery with exposed brass screws, a subtle construction detail that has become one of the most recognizable features of Pagano and Maggioni's seating designs from the late 1930s and early 1940s. Newly upholstered in a high-quality fabric composed of 63% cotton and 37% linen, the chair offers a refined, natural texture that complements the warm tone of the wood while remaining faithful to the original spirit of the design.

Both functional and visually distinctive, this armchair demonstrates how Italian modernism successfully merged craftsmanship with progressive design. Condition
The chair has been carefully restored and newly upholstered. It remains in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear to the wooden frame consistent with its age and use. The metal pins have left some rusty stains on the light fabric. We can support re-upholstery when requested. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
