About the artist:

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Theodore Wassmer was a dedicated American painter who studied at the Art Students League in New York and Woodstock. His artistic journey was deeply influenced by his study of Impressionism, Paul Cézanne, and the old masters he observed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Despite a devastating accident in 1944 that resulted in the partial paralysis of his painting arm, Wassmer remained committed to his craft throughout his long career, producing over 2,000 works, including watercolors, oils, and sketches.
