A 1960s Italian bird sculpture by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. Hand-crafted in terracotta, the figure is modeled with a gently rounded body and stylized crest, its simplified silhouette capturing Londi’s distinctive sense of form.
Incised markings and layered washes of mineral-toned glaze—soft grays, charcoals, and earthy neutrals—pool and fade organically across the surface. The matte, weathered finish deepens the sculpture’s playful yet contemplative character. An expressive object that reflects Londi’s mid-century exploration of animal motifs for Bitossi.
