An Italian Art Deco table lamp crafted in the manner of the esteemed Barovier & Toso atelier, circa 1930s. Formed in Murano glass, the sculptural shade takes the shape of a stylized leaf, crafted with fine ribbing that catches and refracts the light.
Grounded by a warm brass base, the lamp casts a soft, inviting glow when lit.
The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier & Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day.
Condition: Great vintage condition. The brass displays a subtle patina, while the glass shows minor surface wear consistent with age. Professionally rewired by our team of restorationists with a new socket, plug, and switch. Accepts one E12 base light bulb.
