Antique English bamboo wall shelf or plate rack, c.1900
I rarely come across bamboo plate racks so l was happy to find this one. It is well proportioned with four 5.5” deep shelves, each having a plate rest and edged with bamboo. The four side posts are topped with decorative wood ball shaped finials. New metal hanging brackets on the back. Solid construction throughout with all joints glued and tightened. Recently waxed and polished. The height between the shelves is 12.5”.
