Stamped "Made in Denmark by Møbelfabrikken Toften" on the cork-backed underside — confirmed provenance.
The perfectly cubic form — 14.5" in every dimension — gives this piece an architectural presence that works equally well as a side table, pedestal, plant stand, or display plinth. The four inset ceramic tiles form a bold sunburst or starburst pattern in cobalt blue, deep brown and warm cream, radiating from the center in a dynamic hand-painted design that elevates this piece from furniture to functional art.

The solid teak frame is clean and warm with beautiful grain, the tile surface is intact with no chips or cracks, and the cork tile backing is original and intact.
