VINTAGE MID-CENTURY L.E. SMITH 16.5" SWUNG VASE - AVOCADO GREEN SIMPLICITY
Up for auction/sale is a spectacular icon of Mid-Century Modern art glass: an original L.E. Smith "Simplicity" (Smoothie) pedestal swung vase. This piece is finished in the quintessential 1960s Avocado Green colorway, making it a flawless addition to any retro, atomic, or earthy boho interior space.
Standing at an impressive 16.5 inches tall, this scarcer variant features a dramatic, wide fat-bottom teardrop profile that curves beautifully right above the solid round pedestal foot. Because each piece was hand-swung while hot, the mouth profile boasts a completely unique, asymmetrical pulled flare.
**SPECIAL UV GLOW FEATURE!**
This piece has a fantastic secret display element! When placed under a UV blacklight, the glass reacts with a luminous, soft greenish-lime glow due to the natural manganese content in the vintage factory glass recipe.
