About the Artist
Peter Jepson (born 1936) is a respected British wildlife artist whose career followed service in the Royal Air Force as a radar technician. Initially working in oils, he later developed his characteristic mixed-media technique combining watercolour and pastel. He became a member of the British Society of Painters in 1990, joined the Fine Art Trade Guild in 1992, and was later elected a Fellow of the Society of Artists. His work has been exhibited internationally, including New York, and has appeared in sales at Christie's, London. This painting represents a particularly accomplished example of his mature wildlife work.
