A pair of modernist impasto and encaustic oil paintings on board. Signed J. Lehr on the lower right. Circa 1970s. Rich textural effects in teal, turquoise, and cobalt blue tones. One painting has a dark and moody color palette while the other is light and ethereal. The abstracted composition gives a notion of elements found within nature, whether it the night sky, ocean waves, or even certain rock formations.
