A pair of sculptural vessels built on a fragmented, architectural form — planar, angular, and deliberately unfinished. Where other vessels in the collection chase organic continuity, FRAGMENT embraces rupture: surfaces like exposed aggregate, raw edges that look cut rather than cast, a mineral character closer to geology than to craft. Each piece works equally as a vessel and as a sculptural object in its own right.

Each vessel is constructed by hand in successive layers, and every layer behaves a little differently depending on pressure, drying conditions, and how the material chooses to settle. The balance of recycled paper pulp, organic cement, and mineral binder was arrived at through long experimentation — the aim being a surface that resists water and impact while still reading as living, geological stone. Because of this, no two pieces ever finish the same way.

Natural variation isn't hidden here — it's the whole intention. Cracks, shifts in the surface, and unpredictable texture aren't faults; they're the point. Imperfection as a way to create beauty. See less
