A rare find in its original condition, this early 19th century Chinese elm console table retains all original wood, structure, and finish. The authentic reddish-brown paint is original to the piece, with restoration intentionally kept to a minimum to preserve its historical integrity. The elegant carved spandrels and traditional frame-and-panel construction exemplify fine craftsmanship from Shanxi, China, circa 1826. Perfect for a grand hallway, foyer, or living room.
