Crafted of golden nanmu wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery, this low bench dates to the late 19th century and boasts a rich, timeworn patina. The short legs are carved with vertical fluting and accented with beaded carvings in the shape of auspicious ruyi, an ancient symbol for immortality and good health. See less
