Decades of use have burnished the wool to a soft sheen and drawn out beautiful natural abrash (color striation) across the field.

Colors run deep oxblood and wine red, black-brown, and rust, with the streaky, sun-warmed depth collectors prize in an older Turkmen. The long gallery proportion suits a hallway, living room, study, or bedside run, and layers into tribal, bohemian, eclectic, rustic, and collected-traditional interiors.

Hand-knotted wool pile on a wool foundation. Good vintage condition with honest age character — low, evenly worn pile, soft abrash, and a lightly reduced end, all consistent with decades of use and priced accordingly. Original wool fringe. Measures 8'0" x 3'11" (96 in. x 47 in.). See less
