An original limited edition color woodcut titled “Natal” by acclaimed German-Brazilian printmaker Hannah Brandt (1923–2020).
Created in 1980, this hand-pulled woodcut depicts a tranquil harbor scene with sailboats resting along a pier and silhouetted figures gathered on the waterfront. Rendered in Brandt’s distinctive graphic style, the composition features layered shades of blue with warm neutral tones, creating a serene coastal atmosphere inspired by the Brazilian city of Natal.
Brandt was an internationally recognized printmaker, painter, and illustrator whose woodcuts earned widespread acclaim, including the prestigious Itamaraty Award at the 12th São Paulo Biennial.
