The cylindrical shaft is articulated with vertical fluting, while scrolling foliate ornament, molded borders, and a broad circular capital give the piece an especially decorative silhouette.

Its weathered cream and gray surface has developed naturally outdoors, softening the cast details and lending the column the presence of an older garden element. At 32.5 inches high, it is well proportioned for displaying a sundial, armillary sphere, stone bust, planter, or sculptural object within a formal garden, conservatory, or covered terrace.
