The vase has a rounded form with a short neck and a rich abstract glaze in warm brown, black, bronze and muted green tones. The layered, flowing glaze and earthy California modern look are strongly recognizable as Maxwell’s work. Not all of his pottery was signed.

A beautiful standalone piece for a sideboard, bookshelf or coffee table.
