A commanding piece of west german studio pottery in an exceptional scale. This xxl floor vase is finished in a rich fat lava glaze — the volcanic, heavily textured surface that defines the most sought-after examples of the genre — in a warm palette of honey, cappuccino, and deep espresso tones that feel as considered and contemporary today as they did in the 1970s.
