They often served as a surface for radios or telephones – devices that at that time were given a fixed, prominent place in the living room. The compact design suited the smaller apartment layouts of the post-war era, while the lightweight, material-saving construction reflects the industrial manufacturing conditions of that time. Features: Angled, tapered beechwood legs with visible joints. Two veneered shelves in a contrasting color to the light-colored frame, with a semi-gloss finish. Design: The table embodies the design language of mid-century modern: minimalist lines, an open construction, and a deliberate contrast between the light beechwood frame and dark veneered surfaces.
