This furniture suite was made especially for my great-aunt & uncle, as depicted on the metal tag. Dating to the mid-20th century, this cohesive set features an elegant, warm fruitwood finish and boasts exceptional mid-century American craftsmanship.

This specific set carries incredible historical provenance, featuring original shipping labels confirming it was custom-commissioned and retailed through the iconic, upscale Alexander’s Department Store in the New York metropolitan area, likely the no longer existent Paramus, NJ location.

R-Way is highly coveted by vintage collectors and designers for its superior build quality. Unlike standard mass-produced furniture of the era, R-Way pieces utilize heavy-duty inner steel chassis drawer construction, ensuring drawers slide flawlessly and never sag.

The 4-Piece Collection Includes:
1 Triple Dresser / Credenza: Features an elegant serpentine front with advanced curved-wood craftsmanship. Contains an asymmetrical 10-drawer layout, including a central bank of accent drawers framed by the collection's signature scalloped molding. The larger top outer drawers have built in small trays for small jewelry.

1 Tallboy Chest on Chest: A commanding storage piece featuring a clever "chest-on-chest" visual design, deep storage drawers, elegant cabriole legs, and beautiful blind-panel routing. The top drawer has customizable drawer dividers.

2 Glass-Covered Nightstands / Commode Cabinets: Outstanding accent pieces featuring a top drawer, a lower drawer, and a central Hollywood Regency-style double door with decorative wire mesh/glass inserts. Both nightstands include their original, custom-cut protective glass tops, which have flawlessly preserved the wood surfaces underneath for over 60 years.

Design & Condition Details:
Style: Louis XV Revival / French Provincial with Hollywood Regency accents.
Hardware: Heavy, ornate, original antique brass pulls. Some were recently cleaned to bring back original luster.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with gorgeous wood grain. Sturdy, solid wood construction with smooth-gliding drawers. Shows minor, character-appropriate wear consistent with age and careful residential use.

Markings: Stamped R-Way maker marks inside the drawers / original Alexander's shipping label intact. The drawers in the tallboy are stamped: "2-111", "3-111", "4-111", "5-111", and "6-111."
