A rare, maker-confirmed writing desk by Svend Åge Madsen, one of Denmark's most collected mid-century designers. This is the "Model 200," produced in 1958 by Sigurd Hansen Møbelfabrik, with the original stamp still intact on the underside — the detail collectors look for to confirm authenticity on this maker's work.
Built in solid teak with teak veneer, the desk carries Madsen's signature restraint: tapered legs, a floating case, and proportions that read as much like sculpture as furniture. It's a piece designed to anchor a room, not just furnish it.
