The apron is carved on all four sides with an interlaced motif framed by delicate reeding, giving the piece visual interest from every angle and allowing it to be placed freely within a room.
Its generous proportions are one of its greatest virtues. The bench has enough presence to anchor the foot of a bed, while its width and depth also make it an excellent choice between two armchairs or in front of a sofa.
