Vintage Tobacco Leaf tureen and matching underplate made in Portugal by Mottahedeh, circa 1990. Part of Mottahedeh’s most iconic pattern, this Chinese Export-style reproduction was authorized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and features 18th-century Nicotiana leaf motifs. It was hand-painted in Portugal with vivid cobalt, celadon, butter yellow, and raspberry florals, accented with 22k gold detailing. Perfect as a dramatic soup tureen, but also stunning styled on a sideboard, buffet, or open shelving as a sculptural objet d’art.
