Old green lacquered finish with authentic age-appropriate patina throughout. In the manner of Mathieu Matégot — the Hungarian-born French designer who famously learned to manipulate perforated metal as a WWII POW, then spent the 1950s turning that industrial material into some of the most coveted furniture of the century.
