Bring Old World (17th Century Style) grandeur into your space with this striking Spanish Colonial "Frailero" (Friar) style armchair. Exquisitely crafted with a commanding, architectural presence, this piece beautifully embodies the timeless, rustic elegance of Mediterranean Baroque design.

Craftsmanship & Details:
Built from heavily grained, solid walnut featuring an exquisite deep amber hue, scrolled armrests, and elegant cabriole front legs terminating in traditional scroll toes.

The thick, full-grain black leather backrest and seat are hand-secured to the frame using oversized, highly patinated brass nailhead trim (clavos), creating a powerful tactile contrast.

There are no other seating supports in the design (underneath is simply the underside of the leather; see photo). There are no makers marks found.

Professional Conservation & Care: Rather than erasing decades of history, this chair has undergone a meticulous, multi-step conservation process designed to preserve its magnificent authentic patina while ensuring longevity:

Deep Nourishment: The original leather was deeply conditioned to restore suppleness, prevent drying, and highlight its rich textured grain.

Wood Revitalization: The walnut frame was treated with natural products to seamlessly blend minor surface scuffs while keeping the underlying natural aging intact.

The entire piece was hand-buffed, providing a durable, satin luster that protects the wood and leather for years to come.
