Vintage hand-carved Chinese hardwood keepsake box featuring deeply carved scenic panels on every side, traditional geometric borders, and an ornate brass lockplate with matching hasp.
Each exterior panel is carved in relief with landscape and village scenes framed by decorative motifs, while the interior showcases attractive natural wood grain throughout. The substantial size makes it well suited for jewelry, letters, photographs, sewing supplies, or as a decorative storage box on a shelf or coffee table.
The brass hardware retains a pleasing aged patina. The lid opens and closes smoothly and includes the original interior support stay.
