An exceptional and highly collectible Pabst Blue Ribbon back bar advertising display manufactured by Plasto Mfg. Co. of Chicago, featuring a whimsical hand-painted boxer standing inside a miniature boxing ring beside a Pabst Blue Ribbon bottle. The display includes a sign reading “Pat Cavalla – 1940 Middle-weight Champ,” celebrating the popular boxer in classic mid-century breweriana style.
Produced for taverns and bars, this sculptural advertising display is a wonderful example of post-war American promotional design. The combination of boxing memorabilia, breweriana, and folk-art styling makes it an uncommon and highly decorative collectible.

The original character and patina have been preserved. Manufacturer’s mark remains visible on the underside.
