1940's Lin Bren compact handbag in a barrel shape designed with gold tone metal and black satin fabric accented by a gold and silver metallic pattern. Each end of the handbag opens with a push button closure. One end opens to reveal a roomy compartment. The other end opens to reveal a mirrored powder compact. The wristlet style handle is covered in matching fabric. It is a wonderful novelty handbag that will be quite the conversation piece as an evening wear accessory and equally as glamorous displayed as decor on a vanity or as part of a handbag collection.
Very good condition. Though previously owned, the handbag appears rarely, if ever, used. The compact has no signs of ever carrying powder.
The handbag measures 5.25" tall x 4.5" wide x 4.5" deep. The wristlet handle measures 12" from end to end providing for a 6" drop. Though the barrel shape is roomy, the handbag is not large enough for tech devices ... you'll need a date with a pocket or enjoy an evening off of the grid.
