Turn of the century Carousel horse which is believed to have been a prototype. It had been used as you can see the drilled holes for the pole on the underside. Saddle is adorned with a carved lions head roaring. Impeccable detail throughout and the rare peek a boo mane. Beautiful depth to the glass eyes. Rare gallop style with flowing real horse hair tail witha plug.
Mounted on a sturdy scrolled wrought iron stand finishes this eye appealing, one of a kind carousel horse.
