Get in Gear - Geometric Abstract Expressionist Mandala in Acrylic on Paper
A bold abstract painting in red by California-based artist, Ricardo de Silva (American/Brazil, 20th C). A large gear (possibly a transmission flywheel flexplate) is used to form the basis of this painting. The gear has been layered atop a light blue background, creating a contrast between the image and background. The pressed image had been modified with water and additional layers of paint.
Signed and dated in the lower left corner: R. de Silva - 86
Paper size: 22.5"H x 17.5"W
