This exceptional antique framed print depicts Rembrandt’s famous 1637 Dutch Golden Age portrait, A Polish Nobleman. The print features rich tonal depth, capturing the dramatic use of chiaroscuro lighting, fur textures, and the striking expression of the subject.
The artwork is presented in its original, wide-profile dark wood frame under protective vintage glass. The back of the frame retains its highly collectible historical provenance labels, including a German gallery label identifying the work from its time in the Imperial Hermitage collection in St. Petersburg, alongside an original circular blue foil sticker from the historic Krumbholz Fine Arts Gallery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. An excellent character piece for a library, office, or mood-rich gallery wall.

Frame Details: The original dark wood frame shows a few superficial scuffs, minor corner separation lines typical of antique miter joints, and small, authentic nicks along the outer edges that do not compromise structural integrity. Backing & Labels: The back paper backing has degraded and torn away due to age, which beautifully exposes the original corrugated securing board, metal framing points, and the two historic gallery labels. Labels show light edge wear but remain entirely legible and firmly attached. less
