Vintage Signed Georges Briard Frosted Checkers MCM Lowball Glasses - Set of 2
A wonderful pair of Mid-Century Modern, Op Art, Mod Geometric lowball glasses featuring Georges Briard's iconic frosted 'Checkers' pattern. One glass is in excellent vintage condition with sharp, near-mint screen printing. The second glass shows minor, age-appropriate wear with light scuffs and minor paint loss within the frosted squares. Both glasses are structurally perfect with no chips or cracks.
This particular frosted, grayscale checkered pattern by Georges Briard is considered quite rare and highly collectible. This minimalist, monochromatic 1960s "Op-Art" style—relying purely on a textured frost checkerboard motif—was produced in far fewer quantities, making it much harder to find today.
These glasses both displays the distinct, script "Georges Briard" signature near the base
