This rare and beautifully shaped domed box is decorated with relief scenes depicting putti/cherubs playing music and other pastoral settings. The glazed earthenware exterior features a rich polychrome decoration on a cream and red background in an ornate metal mount with decorative clasp and claw feet. The interior is glazed white with painted floral bouquets. Signed en verso by EBR Capodimonte, c1950 Naples.
