Frame and base are covered with silver lacquer. The globe is both a lamp and an education item. Inside the globe there is a lightbulb which lights it up, and a special screen under the surface shows current light zones on Earth, depending on the month and year season. In the base of the globe there is a small mechanism embedded, which allows switching moon phases.
