This graceful hand-woven rattan wicker basket in the shape of a swan is truly a vintage (circa 1970's) work of art and in near pristine condition.
Characterized by its deep green woven rattan body, a distinctive orange carved wood beak and feet, and distinctive layered feathered wings.
Constructed of hand-woven rattan, bamboo, and wicker with wooden accents for the beak and footed base this style of basket is often attributed to Zhejiang or Shanghai woven handicrafts of China although there is no visible makers mark on this specific basket.
