This is a gorgeous antique Primitive Painted Pine Blanket Chest / Trunk with Original Newspaper-Lined Interior.
This authentic late 19th to early 20th century storage chest features a beautifully worn dark painted finish, wide plank construction, hand-forged iron side handles, and a hinged lid. The interior retains its original newspaper lining, adding wonderful historical character. A fantastic piece for use as a blanket chest, coffee table, toy chest, or farmhouse storage.
Solid and sturdy with expected age-related wear, paint loss, and a missing lock, all consistent with its antique character.
