GENET & MICHON
A very large pendant light by the famous maison of Philippe Gênet and Lucien Michon. Made around 1925-1930. The ball in clear frosted pressed glass has a diameter of 14,2 inches. As far as I know this model globe exists in three sizes: 15 cm 22 cm and the very rare 36 cm one (5,9”, 8,66”and 14,17”). It is never signed but a well-known model by this illustrious designer duo. The canopy is stamped with a model number and the Genet et Michon foundry mark GM. I show a picture from an ad of Genet et Michon in a French magazine dating 1928. That also shows the canopy of my large pendant.
The chandelier is 45,5 inches high and 14,17 inches wide. On the last two photos it is shown in full length. The first two pictures show it with a height of 31 inches. I can shorten the fixture for you to any required height between 22 and 45 inches. The chandelier is in very good condition. The usual chips around the opening of the shade which are invisible with the chandelier in place. I have re-nickeled and patinated the plated solid brass mount. And it is rewired with an American standard socket.
