Up for sale is a lovely vintage Chinese export porcelain ginger jar / tea caddy. This piece features a striking six-sided hexagonal body beautifully hand-painted with traditional blue and white floral panels showcasing blooming peonies and foliage.
The matching hexagonal lid is topped with a distinctively sculpted blue Foo Dog (Guardian Lion) finial acting as the handle. The lower rim and upper lid are decorated with delicate geometric and lattice borders.
A wonderful accent piece for Chinoiserie decor setups, mantel displays, or blue and white porcelain collections.
