Large vintage Chinese export Famille Rose porcelain fishbowl planter on a wooden stand. Intricate hand painted interior design.
This fishbowl planter features a teal glazed exterior decorated with beautifully hand-painted pink peonies, cranes and butterflies. The flat rim is finished with an intricate floral border that opens into a fully decorated interior. The inside is hand painted with beautifully detailed koi fish accented with gold highlights swimming around aquatic pond weeds, river pebbles, and floating plum blossoms.
Dimensions: 16" Diameter x 12" Height
Markings: Apocryphal Qianlong Nian Zhi iron-red seal script mark on the base (Mid-to-late 20th Century export).
