The phrase LEO LAKI is carved on the back. In the Hawaiian language, leo translates to "voice" or "expression," and laki translates to "lucky." Combined, it characterizes a figure sculpted to bring a "Voice of Good Luck" or happy fortune to its surrounding environment.

CONDITION
There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. The wood has a rich, aged patina except on the lower right side, where it is a bit faded.
