An exceptional, pristine original limited-edition woodblock print (mokuhanga) by the renowned modern Japanese Sōsaku-Hanga master, Katsuyuki Nishijima (b. 1945). Titled Farmhouse in Nagato (長門の民家), this striking landscape captures a traditional, steep thatched-roof farmhouse under a brilliant blue sky in the historic Nagato region of Yamaguchi Prefecture.
• Limited Edition & Artist Markings: Hand-numbered 284/500, hand-titled in both English and Japanese, and hand-signed in pencil along the bottom margin by the artist (K. Nishijima). Features a secondary ink artist signature and red seal stamp (hanko) in the lower-right quadrant of the image.
• Impeccable Vintage Provenance: Housed in its original vintage presentation envelope from the prestigious Matsushita Associates Inc. / Dealers of Japanese Prints, located in the historic Oriental Bazaar Building in Shibuya, Tokyo.
• Aesthetic Appeal: Masterful, crisp graphic linework and bold color blocking characteristic of Nishijima's celebrated architectural style. Pristine white margins are completely preserved underneath a removable white presentation mat.
• Condition: Excellent, museum-quality vintage condition. Never framed or exposed to UV light. Colors remain extraordinarily vibrant, saturated, and bold with absolutely no foxing, fading, or paper toning.
