Conceived in the late 1960s, the design is attributed to Ludovico Diaz de Santillana, the influential son-in-law of Paolo Venini who masterfully steered the company's artistic direction for decades.
The cylindrical base features a vibrant, opaque red hue achieved through the meticulous "lattimo" casing technique, where a fiery red layer is fused over a milky white core to provide rich color density and complete opacity.
