It has four drawers, each fitted with aged brass pulls and their original engraved label holders. The manufacturer's foundry plate is still in place, marked 'Classeur Systeme' for 'Fiches E. Wiener & Cie, Paris'.

Over the decades the solid oak case has taken on a warm, weathered patina. There are light surface scratches and scuffs to the top and case consistent with age and gentle use, and the brass hardware and label plates show natural tarnishing. All four drawers still open and close smoothly on their original wooden runners; the seller notes no restorations.
